The Winds' music

The Edmonton Winds (formerly New Edmonton Wind Sinfonia) have recorded two full-length CDs in their efforts to challenge themselves and document their work.

Among-Friends (2005) is a collection of wind ensemble music that is both colourful and engaging, akin to a good conversation "Among-Friends". The recording features some very well known pieces frequently played across North America such as John Barnes Chance's Incantation and Dance and Vincent Persichetti's Divertimento for Band. The ensemble also included some lesser-known pieces including the first commercial recording of Allan Gilliland's Dreamscapes.

O Music

The Winds' recording O Music features the wind music of Edmonton composer Allan Gilliland. A great friend of the band, Gilliland arranged some pieces originally written for orchestra for the ensemble. The CD received two nominations for the 2012 Western Canadian Music Awards: Best Classical Recording and Best Classical Composition for the trumpet feature, Kalla.
